compression tester gauge..

i have a Compression tester gauge.. i was wondering if I could use it to measure oil pressure while I start the car.. i know i won't be driving with it, but just to see if I have oil pressure when I start the new motor.

genrally the oil pressure gauge will work. I dont beliefve a compression gauge would work

dont just start the car and hope to have some oil pressure, use a pressurized oil tank with gauge to prime the engine

don't have an oil pressure gauge sender in my car.. that's why i'm wondering if my compression tester would do the trick.. otherwise i hope pepboys or autozone has a cheap mechanical one i can use for around 40-50 bucks..
