Hello members, I just bought a compression tester from autozone. It is made by Actron. Anyone has used this specific brand, accurate? I got it for $25. I was also wondering if anyone knows the the spark plug hole size on 4g63t's? I just bought this one tonight and opened it w/o making sure it will fit. The threaded hose has 14mm and 18mm, it also came with an extended adapter that is 14mm. Will this fit the spark plug hole in a 4g63t? I hope so because I already opened it. Couldnt find the answers anywhere except for someone saying just to buy one and it will fit. Thanks.

the 14mm is the one you want. I personally use the acton and i beleive it to be accurate. If you ever have a problem with any of thier products just call the company and they stand by thier products and will do what they can for you. I would use the extension since our spark plug holes are so far down in there.

Thanks, I was hoping that the 14mm will work. As far as the extension, the hole for the spark plug is deep? To my understanding the extension is for deep spark plug holes. Last thing I want is piston to hit adapter. Thanks again, and also to further posts.

No hes talking about the plug holes. Where the plug wire goes down into, those are deep and its kinda hard to thread it in wihout an adapter. And make sure you have it at WOT when you do your compression check!

He's answer was actually what I was looking for. I wanted to know the size of the actual spark plug hole where it is threaded. I want to make sure that the threaded adapter on the compression tester (14mm) will work for sure, if not I will return it. It also came with an extended 14mm adapter w/ the tester. Am I okay to use use that as well, or is it too long? Dont want the piston to hit that? Thanks.
