So bassicly Im going to buy a NT Talon 2.0, But I want to check compression before to know what Im buying.
Drive the car to operation temps, make sure the battery is charged [bassicly drive it the car]
Pull the MPI
Pull the Connecter from the Coil pack.
Remove Spark plugs check for fouled, [what does oil mean? what does black mean? what does white mean?]
Screw in the Compression tester
WOT and turn over the key 4-10 Cranks [Holding the key not releaseing]
Check Compression on all 4 cyn.
If compression can be raised 10+ with a capfull of oil poured directly into the spark plug whole then this means Seals are bad?
Are my statements true? And where I have questions could I get the right answer.
Also want to know the PSI Numbers for a 2.0NT 93Talon ES
Its like 9:1 Pistion's
193? PSI from the Factory
145 - rebuild time.
What would be a decent number were I wouldnt have to worry to much.
140k on the car.
Thanks
