i recently did a compression check on my motor.i followed the vfaq instructions.
i bought the car a month ago,168k. complete new head, guy i bought it from said the dealership he brought the car to messed up the timing belt job,so they replaced the head, possibly more?? i couldnt beleive the compression numbers from this motor with this high of mileage 160 all across, every cylinder was perfect...you guys think they put new pistons, rings etc?? i know the guy i bought it from took real good care of this car,has every receipt from 11/89..

You've just experienced firsthand the result of proper maintainence and care. I know a guy that bought a Charger brand new when he was 16 and it still has perfect compression.

I had a untouched 91 GSX with 176k miles that pulled 162-164 compression across the board. They probably just did the head like you said. It's all in the preventative maintenence.

WTF do you mean by stage 1 mods?

i know i know, i hate it when people refer to things in stages. like " yo you got a stage 3 turbo on dat eclipse." that shit annoys me so much, but i think he is refering to the tuning guide. he probably means the page of the tuning guide that has all the basic bolt on parts excluding a fmic.

Hey, at least we're not Supra guys.
