Hey guys,
So I know this has been covered once upon a time but I'm on my iPad and it won't load the search for some reason, so I apologize in advance for the re post!
Any way I just bought a 92 gsx for a new project. It's completely stock. Anyway I have not had a chance to see the car in person yet due to my job on the oil riggs. But the guy I bought it from says it will not start because compression is to low. He also said when he put on a new head gasket and got into boost the hg blew. So this leads me to believe maybe something is warped? Could this also be the cause of the low compression? I do have the funds for a complete rebuild, but I would like to avoid that for the time being so I can at least get it on the road and start working out transmission and suspension bugs.
Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I would be ready for a new motor altogether. Without tearing it apart there is no way to tell what other damage has occurred. I'm merely saying this since you cannot check out the car.

I would want a leak down test to see where the issue is at.

Does he beat on the car? Blowing the hg after installing it is either from over boosting, no tune and detonation, crappy head gasket, warped block or head, improper installation.

Yes I was thinking something along the lines of that. Thank you for your help!
