I plan on doing a complete tune up here in the next few days, on my new talon awd. Here's MY list, let me know what you think. Any Suggestions

Need to Replace
-AC Compressor W/ Clutch(mine crapped out)
-Timing belt
-Balance Shaft Belt
-Water Pump and Gasket
-Alternator Belt
-Drive Belt(Power Steering, AC Belt, Generator)

Replaced
-Spark Plugs
-Spark Plug Wires
-Various worn hoses

Do some of these parts come packaged together?

Thanks,
Ian

I was always told go OEM or go with an HKS timing belt, I wouldn't trust something so important to ANY other company.

Aftermarket parts are just fine - why people associate aftermarket parts with poor quality is beyond me. There are plenty of people using ITM pumps and PCI timing components in their cars (including me) and have yet to have a problem. Oftentimes, aftermarket companies like ITM will contract with the same factory that made the OEM parts. The only exception I'd say to this is to stick with a known good vendor - not random aftermarket parts on ebay (although plenty of people have used ebay timing kits with good luck).

I agree. i decided to go with Conitech Belts all around because they are the OEM belt manufacturers for BWM. Not bad cars in my opinon. But I cant decide whether or not i should get a Bosch Water Pump. They any good?

I don't have any personal experience with them. The only aftermarket water pump I've used on a 4g63 is the ITM one that PD sells and I can tell you I haven't had one crap out on me before. Again, everyone's going to have their own little horror stories on OEM and aftermarket parts. It's pretty silly to write off all of the aftermarket just because someone has a few horror stories that may or may not be the fault of the manufacturer - just keep that in mind.
