Resolved Competition clutch fork twists

At the end of the travel, my competition clutch fork twists because it making contact with the case on one side. WWJD?

Not quite sure Tony but in this case you don't have the pressure plate assembly on there so there is nothing stopping the TOB from going forward and letting the fork hit the case. I reckon once you bolt everything together at max throw it wont touch the case if everything is specced out and adjusted right.

You have a point Stefan, but there’s witness marks on the case so at some point they did touch.

Are you discovering a problem or is this just something you noticed during assembly? In use the fork won't go that far.

Just something I noticed while moving the fork. Went to my buddy’s and check it on his spare trans & fork and it does the same thing so think I’m alright. Thanks fellas!

The clutch fork doesn't twist, it simply has contact at that spot on the casting on a range past full disengagement of the clutch. If you really want to, grind down the spot on the fork. I just tested it on a couple bellhousings here and they all contact in that spot.

You’re right. Also tested it on my buddy’s trans with a different fork and it does the same thing so I’m sure it’s fine. Thanks Tim!
