Colorado DSM/motorsports scene?

Hey guys, thanks for all the info on the area. My wife and I just got back from exploring the areas south of Denver. We looked at a few neighborhoods and homes in our price range, and are really interested in Greenwood Village, Lone Tree, and Highlands Ranch - pretty much all the areas surrounding the Tech Center. I must say, you guys have a nice setup out there. People seem really friendly and the area overall is very well kept. Once the I-25 project is complete, it looks like the traffic will be cut down a little too. Any of you work in the Tech Center area?

I'm in Greeley right now, but I am going to be down in Highlands Ranch by Lincoln and Quebec, did you go by that area on your trip? Is there anything particular you would like pictures of? Like new houses beind built in the area? I live in Wildcat Ridge so I will take pictures of that, but if you have any requests just let me know, because I am just going to take some pictures Friday when I get down there. So if there was anyplace that you liked I can take some pictures of what is nearby or something.

I believe we did look in that area at some new development. It looks nice. In fact, we might be looking at some more houses in that area in a few weeks. I think we're looking closer to Yosemite and Lincoln though. We're not yet sure if we want a brand new home or a home that is 10-15 years old (a little more established neighborhood - more developed trees, etc). We found a good mix of both up in Lone Tree Parkway off of Yosemite. Are there areas like this in northern Highlands Ranch? We don't want to be too far south or west in HR since she'll likely be commuting to the Tech Center area. Quebec would probably be as far west as we'd want to go.

Yeah, shopping centers would be cool. It's always nice to see where you'll be doing your shopping. Man, I really appreciate this help. My wife is loving being able to see these pics.

We've seen how pricey it can get, but compared to how ridiculous it is around here it's really not bad at all. We're lucky enough to have a good amount of equity from our house here to use for a down payment. We've already gone out and walked through some homes there with our agent. Man, I'm looking forward to having a finished basement! Basements are extremely rare around here. We'll be able to almost triple our sqaure footage compared to what we've got here. Damn I can't wait!

I'll have to have a mini-DSMtuners house warming BBQ or something.

Man, I really appreciate that. We won't really know anyone, so we might just need some help. The plan is to take another trip out in a few weeks to look at a few more houses. Once we find something we like, we'll put our house up on the market here and should be able to sell it in a couple weeks and close escrow within a month. I'm guessing another 2 months after all is said and done - plenty of time for me to get cold feet

Here are some near my house. I have more but I have some things to do right now so when I get back I will re-size the rest of the pictures. I just did a loop starting on Lincoln heading west from Quebec, took a left on Yosimite, left on County Line, then last a left onto Quebec.

Hey I live in greeley, I know there are some DSM ers that hang out up here in Ft.collins/Loveland/Greeley area, they are a big group, but mostly no one hangs out but a few of us, so the scene is here but not here if you know what I mean. www.cosr.com is a good place to get to know people, as that is my home site besides this one. Good luck finding a place tho.
