A couple of probably easy ??'s. What does that vacuum hose(?) on our throttle bodies go to? I started my car and I heard this whistling noise coming from my engine. So I opened the hood and that hose was collapsed. I unhooked it and it idled up a little bit. I think the whistling is a bad throttle body gasket, but I don't know if that's why the hose was collapsed.

I don't know squat about the 420A so I can't say for sure what the vac line is that you pulled. Most likely emmisions related.

A bad throttle body gasket isn't going to cause that vac line to collapse. By collapse you mean it pulled in on itself to the point where air couldn't move through it correct?

Yes, you're right about what it's doing. Now I just need to know why, and if it's a serious problem.
