Ok so I just got my car back yesterday after it was in the shop for about a month...the guy said it was running fine so I started to drive it back home. It seemed ok until I was almost home and the clutch pedal got stuck...it went down all the way and wouldn't come back up and I was in the middle of a busy intersection. The car stopped and it just reved as I accelerated...I kept trying to slam on the clutch pedal for it to pop out but after like a minute it finally did...as I shifted to second it happened again, it went down and got stuck as soon I just gave it a little tap . When I parked the car, the clutch pedal was still down so I tried pulling it with my hand and it popped out. This is the third time I will probably have to take it back to the shop, the first two times they didn't adjust the clutch properly and I had to take it back with burned clutch...talk about cold turkey on thanksgiving day :toobad: Does anybody know what's going with this new clutch problem? thanks

The exact same thing happened to me on my 91 awd. It ended up being a broken clutch fork. Go under there and look at the slave to see if it is fully extended. Also see if you can move the fork by hand.

If you put the car in gear with it off and then turn it on, does it move?

It also could be the seals in the master went bad, or the slave cylinder went bad.

I remembered when the clutch was down, it did move when I pulled it...it can either be fully extended out or all the way down and impossible for normal driving. Its already been towed back to the shop. It turns out the slave cylinder is no good and needs to be replaced also it was leaking. The avoid this problem in the future, what makes a slave cylinder go bad other than wear and tear?
