cold plugs for my turbo?

ok so i was told my my dad that hot plug are better for performance but i have my buddy saying that since i have a turbo that i should do cold plugs any thoughts on this?

Colder plugs will reduce the chance of detonation. The rule of thumb with DSMs is to use the coldest heat range plug that doesn't foul out.

Stock plugs are NGK BPR6ES, until you start upping the boost and fighting knock, you probably should stick with them.

ok so those ngk's are what i should roll with for a stock engine?

and is there a specific gap that someone has found for dsm's that works good?
