Code P1750.. Rough shifting?

Okay, I've had my check engine light code pulled. It is P1750 which is the Transmission Solenoid pack. My reverse lights don't work and my car has a slight slip under WOT in gears 2-3. Could this solenoid cause either of these? I've read that is restricts fluid flow and controls where it goes.

How much is this little part gonna cost me? And any ideas on wether it will give me a smoother 2-3 shift?

I called the dealer and the pack is $355! I'd rather spend that towards a 5spd swap. I fixed my reverse lights, it was a blown fuse.

Could I find this part cheaper somewhere else, or is it even something I should be concerned with?

Yeah, try eBay, junkyard, DSMtuner classifieds, someone's parts car, etc....
The dealership should almost always be the last resort.

I don't want to spend the cash unless someone can confirm that the solenoid pack is causing my slight slipping symptoms at WOT in the 2nd to 3rd shift.

does anyone know if you could use a 1.8 tranny solenoid on a Talon TSi tranny?
