cobalt ss

i am in chicago,and i see a lot of cobalt ss's,and i want to want to add one to my kill lst,but don't want to smoked either.

i have a 99 eclipse gs,n/t,cat back exaust and short ram intake,what else i would need to really blow the doors off gm's little "pet" toy?

or any gm's "ss's",i am so sick of being smoked by them and i don' want to go spending money on parts that won't work.

Cobalt SS's are supercharged, and you are non-turbo..... It is going to take quite a bit of work.
A C-SS runs around a 15.1-14.60 range. Your going to need a custom turbo setup.

sell ## n.t for about 4-5k pick up a turbo for anywhere aroudn that. problem solved.

Please dont tell the N/T guys to sell there car and get a 4g63. A turbo swap can run you anywhere from 3k-6k

Depending on the setup you want, is going to determine price.

sounds like what i must do,i just bought this car last month too.

i saw a few gst's in ad's now,but then,i only saw the gs.life is a drag.


and just to think,i went from owning a 1996 ek,got smoked in it.then i had a 1992 eg,same thing and now this.

that shows,get it right the first time with some pro's.

Dont sell it just because you cant beat faster cars. You can make it faster. But, to be honest, you wont get my support to tell you not to sell it to get a 4g63 car.

But don't ask us what it's going to take to turn ONE unknown car into a winner over ANOTHER unknown car.
