The Evo rolled off the line and tripped the beams with his rear tires. The 60' was 1.0xx on that pass... Should have been a high 9's pass.

Thanks for explaining Hein but i'm actually still a little bit confused as to how that would happen unless he staged with his rear tires or he pulled the front wheels up and clicked off the 60' timer with his rear wheels

If he was staged properly and then rolled the beams wouldn't that cause an immediate "red-light"?

Anyway sounds like a very interesting set-up hope to see it sometime up at the track with you guys

BTW who won the heads up class anyway???

Give me a min to run the sequence of events in my head

So i understand the other lane leaving so no red-light for the Evo........but he must have been rolling (almost deep staging too much) while at the same time going far enough to have his front wheels go past the 60' timer lights and then his rear wheels passed and caused the 60' timer to record the 1.xx 60 ft ET

Is there a slip you can post to help my mushy baby brain?

OK just re-watched the vid and at (0:27) you can see that the Evo rolls through the staging beams before the ambers light up so it should have been an immediate "red light" but i didn't see it light up (malfunction)

So the timer must have activated in the Evo's lane when the tree went green and that's how his rear tires tripped the 60' beam I GOT IT NOW

Hope no one takes this as me trying to discredit the Evo at all just trying to make it clear what can happen for those that may not be all that familiar with the specifics of heads up drag racing
