Vaughan,
Clutch sticks half way at friction point. Slipping too. 3" of freeplay from top to halfway friction point. Master and slave replaced. System bled.

No ticking noise or RPM drop when clutch pressed.
Does not fall to floor after left turn.
No burning clutch smell.
Adjusted to point before pump up.

Any ideas?
Pressure Plate?
Dirt in lines?
Time for a new clutch?

Clutch fork? Go under the car and try to move the clutch fork end with your finger.

Fork seems fine. Moves from middle to passanger's side without touching the housing. Shifts are smooth. No grinding.

From middle of the hole opening or from middle of the car? It should be all the way to the left edge of the hole and give you consistent resistance when you try to move it.

Sounding pretty good so far, how long has it been?

I've been experiencing this for over 2 months now.
Although the clutch is slipping there is no burning smell.

It's got 105 600 miles on it now.
I bought the car 8000 miles ago which is about 6 months ago.

From the middle of the hole to the left (when facing the front).
There is no grinding or any problems with shifting.

After doing a clutch job my mechanic couldn't figure out why the clutch would not release.
The car was at the mechanic for four days. The tranny was dropped 7 times.

Turns out the fork ball stud had to be shimmed.
