A little history... The Clutch Masters stage 3 and aluminum flywheel had been replaced in the spring. Over Thanksgiving I lost a tranny. I pulled it and had a full rebuild done. The CM throw out bearing was noisy so we replaced that too... The clutch was still in perfect shape and was never touched. Didn't even unbolt it.

I thought my clutch was having problems with the extreme cold up here but this week it's been hitting the 40's. The pedal has been a little iffy so last night we completely flushed the system. The lines were pretty gunked up but now everything is clean.

On the way out of the shop the clutch slipped again. I have the pedal adjusted to the point of over compensating. It's just at the point where I can still get the it in and out of gear but have tons of play at the top.

Clutches are normally a no-brainer. I can't seem to figure out why this thing is slipping!

Any ideas?
Thanks

I used to hear about all sort of clutch problems when a few people that I knew were using CM clutches. But this was a couple of year ago, in now days everyone I know is using ACT clutches with out any problem.

I wonder if this is some of CM’s early gremlins revisiting? What style disk is this?

Im glad someone else has similar problems with their CM 3 clutch. I've had mine in a little over a year and a half. Recently, ive been noticing that it feels like the clutch is slipping from 1st-2nd gear. It sounds like the same problem, but i have a stock FW. Im just gonna drive it till it cant be driven, then get a ACT2600.
