Clutch replacement question

My clutch is absolute garbage. It's the stock clutch at 120,000. I was just wondering after looking at it if it is possible to do the clutch without pulling the transmission. Like by pulling the passenger wheel and taking off the plastics ad than going at the tranny.

Don't think there's enough room bro. But you can drop it out the bottom pretty easy. I've done it several times on lots of dsm's at shops and my garage.

Even if I undo the control arm and everything on the hub you don't think there is enough room?

At that point you can just drop the trans out the bottom anyway. Simple answer: The trans must to be completely removed to do a clutch swap. It's not that difficult.

It's not possible. You have to unbolt the transmission anyway. Drop it, change it, put it back up. I did a pull down, replaced the synchros in 4 hours including the drop. It's not a big deal.

Your gonna crease up your friction surface trying to fit it all in there. Believe it or not it will be easier and faster just to drop the transaxle.

Thanks a ton. My buddy is a clutchmasters dealer and is icing me a good price on an Fx200 clutch and a 9lb flywheel. Should be fun!!
