clutch release question

I recently bought a 92 all wheel drive talon tsi. When driving it you only have to release the clutch pedal about 3/4-1in off the floor and the clutch is engaged. Is this normal, it seems like its pretty low to the floor to be engaged. I was wondering if the extended slave cylinder rod would help this?

no i havnt, i also thought it could be the clutch, the previous owner who should never touch another car, and in my opinion isnt qualifiyed to play with legos ###### put the worlds cheapest clutch in it. And not to mention he needs drug out in a feild and shot for some of the things that were haggered together on this car. But i will look into the adjustment.
