Clutch release fork?

I am getting ready to replace the clutch and flywheel in my 95 tsi talon. I don't have any issues with the car except the clutch is slipping especially in higher gears. The car has about 130000 miles on it and was wondering if everyone has found if it is necessary to replace the release fork and pivot ball? I will replace them if I have to but if I don't have to spend a extra 80 then that would be helpful. Any opinions or thoughts are appreciated.

Your there and doing a clutch, might as well do it right the first time and do it all. Competition clutch makes a forged fork and ball.

With not knowing how many miles are exactly on it, or if it's ever been changed, I would go ahead and change them. You'll have it apart, better to do it now, then to have em break later on and have to pull everything out again.

I know the term "if it ain't broke, don't fix", but that doesn't apply in this case when it comes to maintenance.

Thats what I was figuring. I didn't know about the forged fork and ball. I may have to look into that.

Has anyone installed the forged release fork and had any problems with it? Just wondering if it is needed or if the stock one is sufficient.
