Alright so I'm having problems with my 7 bolt talon. I'm having some weird clutch problems. It was perfectly normal up until yesterday. I was driving around put it into boost and went to shift into 4th at redline and i couldn't get it in gear. The clutch started sticking to the floor and doing all shorts of weird shit. I took it home and changed out the slave cylinder. After i got that all adjusted right the clutch engages in a constant spot. But i don't think that was the problem. I think the problem was the adjustment just changed. I drove for 250 miles today back down to school and it slips under boost and when you let from a stop the car shakes until the clutch is fully engaged.
The clutch is toast I know that. I think it was slipping subtly for while now and it may have warped the pressure plate? Dose that sound like a reasonable explanation? Has anyone had any similar clutch failures? The slipping doesn't bother me but shaking is what bothers me. I just wanna make sure i didn't hurt anything else like the t case/center diff.
And b4 anyone goes all crank walk on me this motor was just rebuilt with a new crank 15k ago. The first rebuild was due a bad rood bearing not related to crank walk either. We replace the crank because we didn't want to risk the crank walk factor and at the time the car was just going to be a dd. I checked the crank for movement and it is solid. I've dealt with a crank walk motor b4 so i know what to look for, for the most part anyway.
