clutch problems... hopefully.

Hey guys. New to the site. I just bought a 92 Plymouth Laser Turbo AWD. Its bad ass.. My first DSM! Definately faster than the Tiburon I had.... So anyways. When I bought the car. The calipers where locked up. Of course I didnt know it and it was causing the wheel to bounce real bad when the car got up to speed. I had to fix a few things.. Costing around 200 altogether. Which isnt too bad when i only paid 1200 for the car. But after I fixed the calipers, the next day the clutch started slipping really bad. It wouldnt catch for a few seconds. And it smelt horrible. So anyways. It completely went out when i was driving. The car smelled really bad for a good while. I can put it into gear and it wont go anywhere. I can also shift it into gear without even pushing in the clutch and it doesnt grind at all. PLEASE!!! PLEASE!!! tell me this is the clutch!!! I cant afford a transmission.... .

You gotta drop the tranny either way...Have a look. But it does sound like the clutch to me.

It's the clutch. Just make sure you get all of the proper things when you replace it. Resurface the flywheel, get a stock Mitsubishi throw out bearing even if your clutch kit comes with one and it's recommended to get a new slave and master cylinder. I just replaced slave though because master was fine.
