Clutch Pedal Problem

I have a bone stock 1997 Mitsbushi Eclipse GSX with 37,000 miles. The clutch master cylinder was leaking. Once replaced and bled it worked. The next day i pressed in the pedal and the pedal was stuck to the floor. I pumped it about 20 to 30 times and the pedal came back up but was a bit gooey. Any ideas why im having this problem? Thank you!

Check for leaks on re- bleed the system.

Then you missed the leak, or got a bad unit.. If it worked before it has to do with what you just installed.

How did you bleed the system? Did you fallow steps how to bleed system. This is what i fallow.

After making sure it is bleed right if it still does this look for leaks. Start at the master cylinder and work you way down to slave, making sure there is no leaks. Also i had a bad clutch fluid reservoir they crack a lot. Also the seals in the master cylinder go bad after so many years. If anything i would start with your master cylinder. Hope this helps.

Yes, the following steps were followed. Also I just replaced the master cylinder

The Clutch master cylinder worked when the car was hot. And when it cooled down over night is when it stopped working. The pedal was fine before we replaced it, It was just leaking.
