Hey guys, so just about forever now whenever I push my clutch in it makes a click noise. Anyone ever had this problem and know how I might make it go away?? It's difficult to pinpoint where the click is coming from.

Also, I just adjusted my clutch pedal a little bit, I was wondering if anyone knew how to remove the slop at the top of the pedal?? I've got about 1" of pedal movement before my clutch starts to disengage. (Would this simply be to adjust the clutch push rod further in??)

Thanks in advance!!

Mine has a crackling pretty bad too. I think it's either the TOB or the spring on the pedal. I'm putting in a new clutch kit, LSD and SS clutch line so I'll see if that fixes it or if it's the pedal spring.

The clicking I hear from mine is at or quite close to the pedal assembly, it happens whether the car is running or not...

I will have to try the lithium spray, I'll post if it worked or not.

THANKS GUYS!

I know exactly what your talking about and It drives me up a wall  I cant figure out what makes it. Im gonna try that lithium spray to.....right after I get done putting in the new clutch :p oh the joy of owning a dsm.

the 1" of freeplay is normal on the hydraulic clutch system, so dont worry about it

I am having the same problem. I sprayed some lithium spray on the pedal assembly. It is still clicking, but it may take some time for the spray to soak in. It just worries me about that click because it happens when the car is off or on. I dont think its the TOB, because when I did the clutch I had the act TOB replaced with the mitsubishi one. I am just wondering is the car going to be okay. :)
