I just found out my clutch is on its way out. Its starts slipping when l hit 15psi of boost. So im looking for a new clutch and i want your opinions. Im putting down roughly 300awhp right now but ill be going for 400-450hp. Its my DD but ill be at the track once or twice a month. So im looking for something streetable but holds when i drop the hammer. In the past i ran a XTD stage 4 sprung 6-puck and was overall happy with it but im looking to see what else is tried and true.
South bend's 2200# clutch kit caught my eye but ive heard mixed reviews about the complete kit. Some say the kit is legit others say just get the kevlar disc and run a ACT 2600 P.P.
Can anybody shed some light on this? or recommend some other clutch kits or combo's?

For that power level, I would simply recommend the SBC kit and a OEM throwout bearing. Though the act pressure plate works with it, you don't need all the extra clamping load in this circumstance and are best off with the 2200# that matches the disk instead of mixing brands

South Bend. I love mine. Easy pedal and grabs like crazy. If a company can build performance clutches for heavy duty high torque diesel trucks that hold up incredibly, is affordable and make a clutch for my application I will continue to buy from them.
