Ok so i finally have everything up and running in my 90 motor swap into my 1991 shell. Shift cables are hooked up and yes they were swapped from the 90 car. One problem, when i push the clutch in it feels weak. My teacher and I have bled the clutch master cylinder thing and did it properly. We also lifted the car up and had someone pump the clutch to see if everything moved as far as it could. Everything looked fine but when the clutch was pushed in, all it did was grind. Im guessing the clutch isn't engaging all the way? I also took off the bracket the clutch line ran through nearest the intake area. Could that be the only problem or is it something more serious? PLEASE HELP!!

Thanks for the info! Im going to try that this morning. Also, does anyone know if it could be because of the bracket i took off or no? Im just trying to get simple solutions before i go through changing the clutch and things like that.

If you adjust the clutch as per the above linked page and you do not get it to disengage your problem is more than likely the clutch fork/ pivot ball. I had that problem with my 2g when I installed my built motor. The only real solution for this is to pull the tranny back out and replace the components. You can shim them but that is regarded as a bandaid. When I replaced all of the components the total was less than $80.00. I went ahead and shimmed it out ~2.5mm and have had no problems with clutch disengagement since then.

If its the problem, you can get the cluch fork and pivot ball from RRE for $65.

The slave cylinder was bled many times and refilled. I still have a soft clutch pedal tho.. i Dont want to detach my tranny from the motor if i dont absolutely have to. My car is going to hopefully be back at school tomorrow and able to be worked on. Thanks for the info!
