Okay I need some help before I rip the trans out. I bought a 97 gst from the original owner, trans had a 2nd gear grind. I pulled it out and rebuilt it. It shifts fine but my issue is the clutch or pressure plate. When the car is cold or the temperature is below 60 degrees I have no clutch pedal at all. When it's warm the pedal is Damn near at the top of the stroke before it engages. So I replaced the slave and master cylinder and had no change. I bled the system and adjusted it up and down still no change. My clutch setup is a exedy stage one disk and pressure plate and a fidanza flywheel. My question is what is the problem? The clutch and flywheel combo, throw out or the flywheel? If it's the clutch I'm gonna throw. An act 2100 and streetlight flywheel in it. It feels like the fingers are screwed up on the pressure plate and when it gets warm they finally work right. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Did you put the clutch in the car or was it the previous owner?
I didn't put the clutch in. It came with the car it had like 2000 miles on it when I bought it But it's got about 10000 on it know. And I screwed up when I took the trans out I didn't take the clutch off to look at it. Another thing that concerns me is that the guy drove it without second gear for a while. So I think that could've smoked it and the pedal was had when I bought it.

Did you use oem master and slave? Where does the clutch fork sit at if u look under the car? In the middle, to the driver side or passenger side?
I used all oem parts. I haven't gotten the car up in the air yet to look it. Would the clutch fork be effected by the weather? Its terrible when its cold out.[DOUBLEPOST=1410466966][/DOUBLEPOST]Where should it sit when its in the correct position? When I do the clutch I was also gonna do An aftermarket fork.

The clutch fork should sit slightly to the driver side.
It was when I put the trans in. It gets better after the car is driven for like a half hour. Do you think the pressure plate is junk?[DOUBLEPOST=1410471326][/DOUBLEPOST]

I just checked it. The fork is sitting forwards the driver side.

I'm not following your last reply. Its towards the drive side. When I first get in it the pedal is to the floor. Its like 50 degrees in Illinois right now and the Damn thing won't engage. So I have to slip shift it until it warms up or it's been going down the road for about a half hour. I'm not sure what to do. I have the money to replace every thing I just don't wanna do it and have the same issue.

The marks in the last post shows where the clutch fork should be, the question mark is the clutch fork the dashes are just dead space to show where the clutch fork should be, -----!----[DOUBLEPOST=1410478629][/DOUBLEPOST]Did you adjust your master cylinder correctly here's a video on how to do it, are you shure you properly bled the system, when you put the tranny back in was there any missing bolts?

I got you. Its ......!.. Around that area. I bled the Hell out of it. Used about a half bottle of fluid. Its just slowly gotten worse over time.

Okay I'm gonna look at tomorrow when I get off of work. I'm gonna replace the slave and adjust it one more time before I pull the tire and and look at the clutch.[DOUBLEPOST=1410576707][/DOUBLEPOST]Well I adjusted the pedal all the way out and the slave cylinder still won't move like in the video. So I ordered a new one and hopefully that helps it.
