Hey everyone. I just pulled my clutch out. I've been having issues. The clutch was put in right before I bought the car. The kid i bought it from said it was a new ACT and that there was a leak somewhere in the line. LIES!!! The clutch never did work right. Well 2 slaves and 2 masters later I pulled the trans.

First off its a new clutch but not an ACT. Can anyone help me find what im dealing with? DESCRIPTION- Black unmarked pressure plate with a sticker on the inside that reads- c22137zp. The clutch disc itself has a pricetag like sticker on it that reads 91809 1017.

Im thinking its the wrong clutch or TB. I wouldn't put it past this kid as all the other work done to the car I've had to fix. Ball and fork look ok but i will be replacing those and I've already ordered an ACT flywheel alone with a 2100 with 6 puck sprung.

Thanks for the help. Hoping what i pulled out was wrong just to shed some light.:banghead:

What are your symptoms?

When in doubt, measure the flywheel step height. Sounds to me like he threw a new clutch kit on a worn flywheel, so no matter how fresh the disc is the distance between the flywheel surface and the top of the steps where the pressure plate mounts is too excessive.

Symptoms- Clutch will not engage. I have ok pedal pressure. I had cut a strip of foam out from under the carpet where the pedal hits the floor and was barely able to get it into gear. Looking at the trans from under the car, the fork lever will move all the way to the passenger side as it should. So i think i had eliminated and external trans issues.

I did some research and looked on ebay high and low to find out what clutch was in it. Found that it could be a Fidanza 2.1. Even the 2 stickers on the disc are in the same uniform and location.

I have 200 miles on the car since i bought it 2 months ago and the clutch would chatter pretty bad the miles i did put on it.

I do see where you are coming from on this though. I want to put a light flywheel in the car while the trans is out. Don't feel like doing this twice. Think id be ok with new flywheel, fork and ball?

Thanks for your time man.
