ok so i replaced both the master and slave clutch cylinders about 6 months ago. it worked great, about four months later i began to notice that with what seems like the clutch all the way in i'll grind a gear once in a while. i thought maybe driver error however, as time goes on it seems to be happening more frequently, today was the worst i had to literaly bang it into 1st and 2nd a few times in traffic (wouldn't catch) and spent a good 5 mins getting it into reverse in the parking lot (grinding). is this just signs of a worn pressure plate?, fork broken? what? i'll try bleeding it again later today, it does loose a bit of fluid but its only 1/8th of an inch low after 2 months or so, loose fitting maybe? idk any ideas?? thanks,

Yeah good idea.bleed that think mine was doing the same thing for a while until I bled it.make sure all of the lines are tight if they allow any air in your system that would make it do that also.

Sounds like my fiero's clutch! haha!! But yes I agree with ^^ those guys, try bleeding it again and just check over all your lines.. I wouldnt suspect that the master of slave are bad but its possible that one of the lines is a little loose and is leaking a little..

no leaks but bleeding definetly helped. turns out the master cylinmder was also loose from the fire wall a bit. tightened that now the clutch works great. still get bad shifts sometimes though. just will not go into gear and its only when it feels like it. an example would be like yesterday coasting in neutral went to go put it into 4th and its like the shifter hits a wall, just won't go. its the strangest thing. back to neutral and slam it in then its fine. shifter bushings maybe?

hah! found it when i did the clutch wire mod for my link i turned the switch to get at the wire. a quick adjustment and now the bleeder valve works as it should.

heres a question should the rod on the master cylinder be soaking wet with fliud?? its only 6 months old! but i did get it from ebay..

No it should not as it only pushes on a piston and should never come in contact with fluid replace it.

And ebay is the reason get OEM costs more but will last longer. :thumb:
