hey guys new clutch kit and everything but its not driving right constant noise sounds the the tob but its new. i took the slave off the tranny and i was playing with the fork to check the bearing. the fork is very loose it even moves side to side and it seems the tob gets stuck at the end of the shaft....do i need to replace the fork?

What do you mean the fork is very loose? If you take the slave off, you are suppose to be able to move it back and forth..

Unless you mean loose like its loose off the pivot ball? inwhich case its time to replace the pivotball and/or the fork

this is what i mean yes it goes forward and back but i can make it go side to side... it seems like its sitting very loose on the ball.

In that case its time to replace it

Same thing happened to me once, i could hear something rattling at idle but couldn't pinpoint it and finally while doing a run, car wouldnt go into gear, took the tranny off and noticed the fork was worn out... so i replaced them both and good as new

Better to replace now than have it fail on you down the road

yea it seems loose im just trying to figure out why my bearing keeps making these noises i went through 3 now and i just cant figure out why. thanks though

My TOB is brand new as well and still makes noise, and is an OEM one too. Nothing to worry about some of them make noise and most don't.

Mine made noise, and it split into 4 pieces when I droped the trans ROFL. If it sounds like a TOB usually would I wouldn't be afraid. But what mine sounded like was uuugh... Bad.
