I was curious of something maybe someone might know. First off I have a Fidanza aluminum flywheel with a 6 Puck stage 4 sprung no name racing clutch (I don't know brand). It engages very fast, barely off the clutch pedal it grabs. My previous 6 Puck clutch never did it that way. My question is this: The night before, I cleaned the fork and put the tob and clip on. I put it in the trans but didn't "snap" it in. While I was asleep the next day, my dad put the trans in. He didn't bother checking the fork to make sure it was on that ball all the way. When I inquired about it, he said once the trans is in, that fork will get in all the way. I don't know the truth behind this so I seek help. Could the fork possibly not be on that ball all the way causing engagement issues?

Push in your clutch pedal and release it, now pull the pedal towards the rear. If there's any play you gotta weld your assembly.

If your fork is past center and slightly passenger side, then you need go shim your pivot ball with a washer, as the fork needs to sit center or slightly to the driver side to work properly.

I checked the pedal, it's fine. I will examine the fork upon the rain quitting. For the other post, I wouldn't really say this is an engagement problem, moreover it just doesn't feel right. The clutch engages way too soon. The pedal barely has to come off the floor and it's engaging. When shifting, it's smooth but the pedal has to hit the floor. The previous clutch was similar to this one but minus the springs in the disc and it never engaged like this. It reminded me of how a stock clutch does. If I don't figure it out, I will buy a stock kit. The stage 4 was free. That's why I have it. My engine is mostly stock so I figure this kit is too much anyway. It feels hard on the axles.

Before I get flamed, I worded it wrong in the first post. It engages but like I said, doesn't feel right. Just wanted to clarify that from the first post.

It is quite simple to check if the fork snapped in place. Remove the rubber guard and see if you can see if the fork has snapped in place. If it did not then use a pry bar and push it in place. I just tried this method and the pictures show how to do it.
Please note that you may nee to unbolt the slave cylinder and pull it aside to do what I said. I have the transmission out and that why it was easy to do as shown on the pictures.
