I have a 95 GST, just bought it, it supposedly has a BRAND NEW clutch system and i think the clutch may be dragging. Whenever I put in the clutch to put it in 1st or R, it will grind going into the gear, it only happens in first and Reverse. It feels like the car wants to move when i put it in gear, the clutch pedal is all the way to the floor. I tried adjusting it but it hasnt helped much. What do i do?

Also, the clutch grabs right from the very bottom, and when adjusting the adjsutment rod, do i want it in the brass more or out?

i thought about that but the fluid is just under MAX and it doesnt make it any better if you pump it, also, when i looked at the slave cylidner, it was going all the way out so it should be disengaging.

The clutch fluid always looks like it is maxed when the cap is in. The black rubber seal on the cap looks kinda like a fluid level when it's in there. If you didn't remove the cap to check, please do so.

Now my story: The previous owner of my car installed a new master and slave before I purchased the car. I had the same issues you're having. I bled it several times, adjusted the rod all the way out, yada, yada. I then realized that the master cylinder was a Van's part. I ordered the OEM part, and the actuator rod was 1-1/2 inches longer. I installed it, bled it, adjusted the legth, and no more issues. Just my story. I'm not sure if it is what is wrong with yours.

Are you sure the slave is fully extended? The only other parts to worry about are the fork, TOB, pressure plate, and clutch disk. Your issue doesn't sound like a clutch plate or pressure plate issue. I suppose if the TOB wasn't mounted within the fork correctly, you could have these problems. I'm a newb, though, so take it for what it's worth. Good luck. :)
