I plan on getting my rebuilt Jacks 2.1 value tranny, act streetlite flywheel, full kelvar disc from TMZ, and ACT 2600 pp installed Friday. I'd just like to know what mileage do you guys think is a good break in? Im looking foward to getting on it a little after the break in since my tranny would never go into 2nd at 6k rmps. It sucks leaving a car then letting them catch back up cus the tranny doesnt want to go into 2nd.(but I leave them again from 2nd to 3rd....gotta love DSMs)

I always give my clutches a minimum of 500 miles before driving them hard.

I did about 500 street miles before I started launching on my Stage 1.5 TRE rebuild, I think 700 should be plenty. I have about 5k miles on it now and done atleast 3 dozen launches on it and shes holding up great.

With manual transmissions there really isn't a break in period. Some people might like to tell you to take it easy on them, but with roller bearings there is really nothing to seat.
