Alright so I have done some research on this I just want confirmation of what I have concluded.

So the symptoms are
1. Clunking over bumps, Kind of sounds like something is put into "freefall" when the bump is hit then clunks back down
2. In cold weather there is a consistent squeak coming from the same area.

From What I have read these seem to lead towards a bad strut mount. Is this correct or false? Don't want to buy a part I don't need replacing just yet and what not.

Also what part causes this out of this diagram From what I have understood its number 14,13,12,11.

Thanks Again
Armin

It's only coming from the one corner? The strut mounts would cause symptoms like that, but so would other bushings... Have you gotten under the car and checked out the rest of the suspension to rule everything else out?

I have given a good look over with the yanks and tugs. I do know I need some new bushings but from the clunks I hear over any bump only coming from the driver back strut location. It also squeaks in rotation. So its a rhythmic squeak going at a set beat over and over

Hmm... Might be worth it to fix the bushings first to see if that straightens things out back there before spending money on the strut if you don't have to, ya know?

I had a similiar sound when one of my swaybar bushing were shot.
Check your bushings..
Also, try lifting the car and with the wheels off the ground try moving the suspension by hand at various angles.

Well its just the strut mount its not the strut. I just put on some Tein SS coilovers onto my baby and the sound was there before with the stock suspension and after with the tein's . Also the strut mount goes for like 13$ for Numbers 11,12,13,14 on the diagram first posted

Oh... I figured we were talking more of an expensive part. For that amount tho I would have tried it first and then moved onto the bushings. LOL

Perhaps a sway bar end link, have you put a prybar to the links to see if there is any loose?

No I haven't yet basically I came to this conclusion after trying to help put coilovers into a mk5 GTI while trying to figure out what was going wrong after we put the coilovers on I actual was able to find the same symptoms of why my car makes that squeaking and clunking noise

Having the same problem. I just changed all the bushings because I was getting a thump but its on the back passenger side. After changing the bushings and o yea the struts to. I'm starting to think its the strut mounts.
