ok so i noticed that when i start my car sometimes from a cold start it has a squeak (like a loose belt maybe?).. then when i put into reverse it squeaks annoyingly loud. it only happens in reverse. when i put into 1st gear it goes away. it dosnt happen all the time either just sometimes at cold starts i guess. any way to fix ? or whats causing the problem?

Check your belt tension..especially Alternator or AC. does it squeal? and does it do after you have driven around for awhile? and do you have AC on during cold starts?

mine kinda does the same thing, ill back out of my driveway and when i get to the road and in the transition between me releasing the gas while holding the clutch to shift into 1st, theres a really bad squeak from time to time that lasts for the time of that transition on the first start, im wondering if its just because its cold out or if theres something wrong, my belts were serviced a couple months ago so im pretty sure its not that. can anybody help?

you can try using some belt conditioner that can be bought at any parts store .. I use it in the cold weather months and my squeals have completely stopped. But that's if its only happening in the winter months, If it happens throughout the year then I would consider checking for a slight oil leak that might not be leaving a spot on the ground or check the belt tension. The first time I noticed my oil leak it was not because of a spot on the ground but because the belt squeaked.

oil leak huh? that would make sense considering i have a small leak coming from the valve cover/cam plug, im just waiting on the gaskets in the mail and hopefully that will fix it, thanks!!:thumb:
