car shuts off in reverse?

ok im new here, i need a little help. just got my 91 eagle talon TSi AWD put back together. runs great, shifts fine 1-5th. but when i put it in reverse the car dies when you push the clutch pedal out. got new clutch and pressure plate in. new slave cylinder. also if you push the clutch in and the car is in reverse, its like it is in gear. you cant even roll the car?? ive done some searching but nothing came up exactly like my problem.

Internal transmission problem, like the gears for reverse, may be your cause.
