clucth pain!!!!!

hey guys i need your help again. as u know i am completely rebuild my car.(i saved her from the junk yard) and i cant get the clutch to work right. heres what i have done 1 replaced the master 2 replaced the slave 3 replaced the clutch and pressure plate and the throw out bearing. now the problem i am having is the clucth still wont work properly it works but still plays games baisically i need the slave to move another 8th of an inch my buddy and i were going to fab a new bar for the slave about that much longer but we wanted to ask you opinions first. if u have hed this problem or heard of it please let me know thanks -bob

Have you tried shimming the clutch fork pivot ball with a washer or two?

For that matter, what condition is the clutch fork and pivot ball in?

i am going to agree with leet, it sounds to me like the clutch fork needs shimmed or replaced.

ya sorry bout waiting so long to reaply but i ve been busy. the clutch fork and pivot baering are brand new (they came with the kit). we had an idea of making a new bar to replace the one on the slave cylinder we thought that might work we just need it to move about another 8th to 16th of an inch. has anyone tried this before if so please let me know and thanks agian for your help!!!!

I think a washer under the pivot ball to shim it would give you the clearance you need. Is the end of the clutch fork sticking out towards the drivers or passengers side?

What exactly is the problem with the clutch operation? I am guessing at disengagement problems but you didn't specify.

Already try that, helped but did cure the problem.

here is the exact problem when i push in on the clutch and go to shift she used to grind hard core and would not go in. now after replacing everything she goes in but just grinds ever so little in 1st and 2nd. my buddys said to try bleeding the clutch for a long time. he used 2 bottles in his 240 and said it helped also i was wondering if maybe u guys could tell me...... How hard is your clutch to push in mine goes in really damn easy so i am slightly worried. (i wasnt until i drove my moms kia and saw how the clutch moved on hers) thanks

So even fully adjusted behind the pedal the engagement is still all the way at the firewall?

Did you make sure to get all of the air out of the slave cylinder. Just a regular bleed will leave air in the slave usually. You have to have someone under their to depress the plunger.
