clicking noise in neutral

like the title says. i installed my clutch and everything is put together right as far as i know. maybe one bolt isnt torqued all the way but i dont see why this would happen. basically when i drive the car for a little there is a loud clicking noise when in neutral with the clutch up. i actually can kinda hear it in first gear too. the tob is brand new! whats the issue here??

When I installed a new clutch last year, I installed a light weight flywheel with ARP flywheel bolts. The thread length on the flywheel bolts were too long and didn't seat the flywheel properly to the crank. It made more of a loud clunking noise. Had to tear it apart and use OEM bolts, no problems since then.

yea i would consider that but my flywheel is stock do you think this is because of 1 bolt that is not all the way tight?

I can't give you an answer about the 1 bolt, but I'd tear it back down and retrace all my steps. If there were sounds coming from my trans, I'd be afraid of destroying something, ya know? When I was in that position, I knew I had to remove the trans again, no questions about it. I wasn't happy though.

Just make sure the sounds are coming from the transmission. Test the clutch pedal with the engine off, it'll be easier to hear any strange sounds coming from the TOB area. Check your slave, cylinder and pedal. If you do tear it down, make sure you torque and lock tite the flywheel bolts, apply grease to necessary areas.
