Ok so I sent my eclipse to a garage in Blairsville PA called TPG tuning. There mechanic Nate who seemed to be very knowledgeable about DSM's worked on my car. I got excellent customer service and aside from the 2000 plus dollar invoice I loved the visit. I had them install:
ETS 95-99 2G DSM 7" Intercoller kit w/ piping $735.00
Trial QR Recirc BOV, 11psi spring, SS Flange, 1.3" Mitsu Outlet $259.00
Removed Emissions/EGR/unused vac lines/AVCR $42.50
Hallman ES Boost Controller Kit $70.00
JAT EVO/2G Air Filter Kit = $63.00
DSMlink V3 2G DSM = $495.00
also some installation fees they charge $85 per shop labor hour.
The shop told me all went well and i had a E-prom computer.
I picked up the car and tried to drive it onto the trailor but I noticed it bogged pretty bad as i feathered the gas upon trying to pull up onto the trailor. It made it a little difficult to get up on. I started the car and it idoled fine but when i gave it just some gas it would bog or stumble on its face down to 500 rpm then jump up to reving. This was a little weird but i figured after i brought the car back to get it tuned this could be fixed. Since July I slowly put the body back together. (fenders, ft bumper, hood ,side skirts) and drove the car occasionally when i would get a new part just 2 run her engine some. She ran amazing i only drove maybe a total of 15 miles. Now that the car is ready to get my title back since its still under a salvage certificate i went to start the car last week and it starts but only runs 2 or 3 seconds then a clicking noice comes from down under the radio and the car dies.
I can rev the car to keep it started but the clicking comes back and it dies when the rpm's are low.
Turning on the headlights or messing with switches to turn the heat on seem to trigger the clicking and "death" more. I wanted to make sure of the problem before i posted on here so I researched this problem over the last week while occasionally going to try to start the car. Well now the car dont start at all but does turn over and the clicking still happens. Could the new DSM link caused the ECU to blow? Was the bogging a warning sign? Does anyone have feedback about TPG tuning. Also i read alot about the MPI relay. Sorry so long thanx guys
