OK, So i've done some searching on here and have a couple questions... Well, mainly just one. I've had my talon for about 3 months. The guy i bought it from had dropped a valve into piston #3. I dont have any extra cash for it at the moment so I decided that I was going to do the interior since it is my project car after all. I've pulled all the trunk trim pieces and have started to paint them flat black. so far so good. My question, is since I have all the trim pieces out, underneath the spare tire cover, and rear seats is FILTHY. What would be the best way to clean it? pull the drain plugs and wash it out??? help me out!! pics appreciated!! Thanks guys!:hellyeah:

Yeah, LOL. I figured that a vacuum and simple green would probably be the best option..

Mine is filthy as well...actually the previous owner apparently just didn't care what the interior or the engine bay looked like. Let me know how the cleaning goes, I'm about to go at mine(engine and interior) when I get the chance.

Will do. Ill post pics when im done. Since its all I can do At the moment...

my car was the same exact way. i had a bunch of little glasslike pieces under the rear seats and under the carpet so i just vacuumed them out and washed down all the gunk with water and a paper towel. it worked great

Yea LOL. I hate 19 years of gunk built up underneath there haha. I'm still painting so I still have yet to tackle this task but soon!!!

Simple green should take out most of the crap.
if your planning on cleaning the dashboard or panels go with meguiars it does wonders.
and smells good too.

Same as everyone else, 20 years worth of crap built up. More fingernails than pennies in the ashtray kind of thing.

I used simple green in a spray bottle to mist some of the panels then scrubbed them with a brush. Old tooth brushes work great to get in between the tight grooves.

I'm getting ready to tackle my Colts dirty-ass interior, the mildew smell is bad and I'm taking the carpet out and washing it along with scrubbing down the body with Simple Green.
