Cleaning out transfer case.

I am swaping out transfer cases. I picked up a used one with good splines and took the cover off after draining the fluid. I found a bit of gunk on the drain plug when it was removed. I dont see any build up but is there a safe fluid I could use to clean out the case before filling it with Redline?

Run Redline in it for a week and drain it out while warm. If you're paranoid, do it twice.
