Cleaning OEM radiator

I noticed that in my coolant reservoir that there was a rust/mud like gunk in the bottom. I removed the radiator for cleaning and inspection. It seems that all the coolant that I drained was normal but when disconnecting the hoses there seemed to be some sludge. Also in the line running to the coolant overflow reservoir. Can I clean the radiator and get new hoses to prevent this or buy an aftermarket replacement? Also, if the problem isn't the radiator, how would I go about fixing the sludge issue?

It could just be old flush it out easy, get hoses, if its got sludge may be time for a new raditor aftermarket or from the store kind up to you.
