Cleaning IC and pipes

What solution is best used for cleaning an IC and pipes? When i tore apart the car it had quite a bit of oil in the pipes and IC. My guess is to just use gasoline for the pipes, but what about to run through the IC itself? Its an evo3 IC so a bit different from a 1g or 2g.

Gasoline should be fine.

Yea ive heard that you run gas through the IC and then let it sit overnight so the gas evaporates out of the IC
