What can I do to clean up my engine bay. I want to relocate as much as possible. Can someone point me to the right way m

You can start by doing small things, such as getting rid of your EGR system and all vacuum lines that have no real purpose after the EGR is removed. I'm in a bit of a rush right now to get ready for work or else I'd dig up the link for the diagrams for vac line removal. I'm sure someone else will pitch in with it shortly once they see your post. You can relocate your battery to the trunk, or get a smaller battery that mounts lower in the engine bay to clear up some space. Depending on how far you're willing to go you can remove your A/C system and P/S to get rid of even more clutter. It's up to you honestly...what are your plans with the car?

I'm in between a dd on weekdays and a track car on weekends for now until a get another car.

All the things you can do that i could think of:
Remove
Power steering
A/C
EGR
Evap system
Windshield washer fluid reservoir
All the vacuum lines that go along with the stuff your removing
Relocate battery

If you want to go CRAZY:
Relocate the brake booster to behind the firewall (if it fits)
Remove hard brake lines and make your own and route them from behind the firewall
Rewire EVERYTHING in the engine bay so it pass's through the fenders or wherever you want

Oh btw I'm just bored and i know its your DD for now but the CRAZY list can come down the line LOLol

I'm kind of confuss with the diagram. The mbc isn't it suppose to be link between the wastegate and turbo not to the bov and im

The taboo diagram does have a couple flaws, but it is real close. definitely dont T into your BOV for your MBC or boost gauge. MBC should come off a positive pressure source such as your Jpipe if you have a 14b/16g setup or right off of the compressor turbine on other turbos. stock t-25 have a nipple right on the turbo.

But my question is where have most of you guys relocated your batteries? this is my next step to cleaning up my engine bay, Id also like to relocate my main fuse box thats under the hood as well.

Other than that flaw everything is good? How to I plug everything like in what do I use to plug?

Most suto parts stores should have vacuum caps in millions of sizes. theyre little caps for nipples :p other than the MBC.. I'd pay close attention to that EGR block off plate that it shows. You need to make sure you block that off before you can do a full emissions removal. just search "EGR block off" or something along those lines and you'll find a few hundred threads on it. it's basically a metal plate that you put on where the EGR valve was when you remove it. Theres lots of pictures of all these parts on here if you cant find what the diagram is showing. you just have to search it. just remember to cap off everything you remove!

Most people either relocate batteries to the trunk or just buy a small battery kit and drop it on the subframe, that's what I'm doing.

A good degreaser is just the duplicate color prep spray. I used it and worked amazing. A good power wash will work wonders as well.

I'm moving my fuse box to the fender and building a box to stop water and other stuff from getting into it.

wire tucking and ree-routing everything can get pretty crazy bit I suggest only doing it if you know what you're doing and can read diagrams with ease. Saves for less mess ups. There is a vender on here that will custom wire tuck your engine harness. Take a look into them unless you're set on doing this yourself.

I'm also trying to clean up my engine bay and was wondering if anyone knows what's a good degreaser to use ?

The wal-mart brand engine de-greaser works wonders, I was surprised to find out how well it works and its only like 2-3 bucks a can.

As for clean up I would re wire and mount the ecu under the passenger seat or under the dash, it's pretty simple if you know how to cut and splice wires together. Just vary time consuming and tedious, but doing this will make it easier to complete a wire tuck. You can also relocate the battery and the fuse box that will clean up the left or right side of the engine bay depending on the motor you have. You can custom route the power steering lines to hide them in the wheel well. I'm not sure what issues you would run into if you did the same with the ac lines.

Cover your Ignition Coil with a plastic bag or something, so water can't get into the coils.
Do that to the MAF as well, and Resistor.

Other wise you might have problems to start it up.

Don't forget the alternator and CAS. Make sure to cover those up as well.

Most of us, we are using aftermarket FPR. so we need no solenoid.

Also, you can drop down your Battery on the Cross Member, But you need a smaller Battery.

I manage to put a good size Battery with some mods on the AC Lines coming out of the Frame..

Also, you can relocate the fuse Box, to inside (under neath the Steering, It fits good, and will give a really nice clean view to the engine bay.

You can do the MR2 Electric Steering Pump, to remove your SP, and can hide the MR2 pump.

Relocate the Cruise Control, to the back of the engine (under neath the Intake Manifold.

You don't have to trash all the Features that your car has, You can have them all by Just Relocating them.

Except the Vacuum lines.

Check at my Avatar.

One of the biggest things that will help your engine bay look nice is a painted valve cover and nice heatshields/header wrap for the manifold and o2. If you can't fit a heat shield around the turbo and o2 then I would suggest a turbo blanket for the turbo's hot side.

After that, replacing all the old shitty vacuum line/or deleting stuff you don't need. Sadly some people have to pass emissions.

After that, try and get a thorough cleaning with simple green and water mixture, or using the walmart degreaser, or any number of cheap affordable products.

Then try to drop the battery down on the subframe, or relocate it to the trunk. If your not keeping your AC then it would be the perfect time to cut the belt, and drop the ac down, then pull it out to the passenger's side while the battery tray is out.

After that I would suggest a nice wire tuck. You can effectivly hide 90% of your wires without removing the harness from the car. If you do decide to do a full tuck and de pin / elminate all the un-needed wire it takes about 30-45 minutes to remove the harness.

To remove the harness I suggest first remove the center console, kick plates, radio bezel, and radio. There are several electrical clips behinds the radio that need to be disconnected, 4 on the ecu (2g), one under the driver's seat. And one ground that is bolted to the floor to the front of the ecu (towards engine bay) After you get them all unplugged push the grommet in the fire wall forward.

Then disconnect all the connections in the engine bay and pull the harness.

I used some flexbraid and covered my entire harness in it. It looks really clean.

My next step is going to be a Toyota MR2 Electric Powersteering pump, and then tuck all the power steering lines.
