Im try to see if a 5-speed I just bought is any good, is there a way to move the shift levers(trans is out of car and has no shifter or cables) and turn the clutch disc to turn the axles. I have axle shafts in it now, any specific way the levers must go, cant seem to be able to make axles turn? I put a wrench on one so it doesnt turn but trans seems either locked or neutral

I think I resolved the issue, It seemed like the trans locked when in any gear but after trying to turn the clutch and shafts after several trys it finally gave and started turning like it should
