mine was also the same. i think that the way to stop it is to have 2 clamps one right at the top and one at the bottom (of where the intercooler pipe is on the intercooler) with just one clamp on, water or oil can seap to the sides of the hose, and sit inbetween the intercooler and the hose, corroding it. i hope that made sense.

It's probably a type of galvanic corrosion between the hose and pipe. I think the stock hoses are made from real rubber, and real rubber conducts some electricity(it's not as great an insulator as some think). For shitz 'n giggles sometime take a volt meter and touch one end to B+ and the other to a coolant hose and see what you get. I would think to prevent this from happening again, simply replace the hoses with silicon hoses.

After I came off the highway the car felt a little slower than normal (to me). I read a thread on boost leaks looking for some free power and Voila, I made my boost leak tester and found lots of free power!
