Check engine light

Well I accidently let the car run for like 5 mins without the intake and mas air flow sensor on and i noticed afterwards the check engine light came on. I put the intake back on and plugged in the sensor and it I let it idle and it was still on. If I reset the battery will it go away, and if it is something to be fixed where is the plug in for the check engine light reader? Thanks for the help.

The ECU is just displaying the multiple error codes it received when the MAF was unplugged. You can clear them out with a logger/code reader. The plug for that is under the steering column by where your right leg would be when you are sitting.

You can also reset the ECU to clear them, but then you reset all of your fuel trims as well.

yes you can disconnect the battery and wait about 1 minute to connect it back on and your cel should go away.But you can also put a code reader to the obd2 and reset the cel just as long as you have everything plugged back on as it was.If the check engine light still comes on,i would just get the code reader and check what it is.Autozone does it for free.
