MAFT and the check engine light

I have a MAFT, and have had for a while. I have noticed recently that my engine light comes on once in a while. But then goes off when I accelerate. Or just change throttle positions. It is only once in a while and also my A/f guage in constantly in the green and stays there, so I am probably running rich. Would running rich throw a code? But after I change my throttle position the guage will start to ocilate and the light goes off.

Has anybody else had this problem?

i never personally had the problem before but put a logger on the car and find out what the check engine light is. if you cant go to autozone and have them check it out for you. im sure that will answer all your questions.

If you have an analog multimeter (battery tester), you can check the code yourself. Here is a link on how to do this. I had never heard of this until recent, and someone stole my logger so this worked for me.

The problem you are describing sounds exactly like mine. I have a code 14, the throttle position sensor. The CEL only comes on when the engine is fully warmed up and I push in the clutch or anything to make it go into more that 15in Hg. Whenever I begin to boost it goes away. I was going to wait until I upgraded fuel injectors to fix this since it is impossible to get it off without taking the fuel rail or something off (tried for an hour ). This is really annoying to have to be cruising at 35mph in 4th trying to build up some boost so that the CEL goes away .
