Check engine light code 13, not sure if its correct but i know its my maf or maf connection, or ait, air intake temp sensor, not sure if it hooked up or leave it unpluged.

It is a 2g maf wired into the 1g harness, the ecu is chipped for it. I need to get my car runing so any help is appreciated thanks.

Pin 1 on the 2G connector goes to the green/red wire that was pin 4 on the 1G harness.
Pin 2 on the 2G connector goes to the green/yellow wire that was pin 7 on the 1G harness.
Pin 3 on the 2G connector goes to the green/blue wire that was pin 2 on the 1G harness.
Pin 4 on the 2G connector goes to the red wire that was pin 3 on the 1G harness.
Pin 5 on the 2G connector goes to the green/black wire that was pin 6 on the 1G harness.
Pin 6 on the 2G connector goes to the green/orange wire that was pin 8 on the 1G harness.
Pin 7 on the 2G connector goes to the green/white wire that was pin 1 on the 1G harness.
Pin 8 on the 2G connector has nothing

when i do the maf swap to a 2g where does the iat go i seem to be mising this with the 2g maf.

If you followed the list I wrote you won't be missing the IAT.
Go double check what you did against the list.

Steve

Ok i am confused, when you do the 2g maf swap on a 1g car where does the iat sensor go, since it is part of the intake can on a 1g and 2g uses a diferent location what do i do?

I no longer have the 1g maf or wires nor do i have a iat for the 1g and i am unsure where the iat goes with a 2g maf can someone help?

The IAT is part of the MAF on both 1G and 2G 4G63's

Unless you ran new wires all the way to the ECU you still have the 1G wiring in your car You need to make sure that they run to the right place on the 2G connector.

Steve

Ok thanks i checked and they are correct however is there any way to check the 2g maf to see if had died on me? I think that is my problem and most of the problems point to that as the tps and the maf are the only ones to check and when you take the maf off and smell it and open the cover on it it smells like burned chips and smells/looks like a cap busted similer to looking like the ecu that has blown caps.

You pretty much answered your question. Your getting a CEL telling you that the IAT in the MAF is bad, you opened it up and get signs of an electrical problem. I see from other posts that the MAF was hacked and that's a bad thing for a 2G MAF.

I'm still worried about the wiring since it sounds like you might have blown the MAF on the car and if it's incorrect you'll just blow the replacement.

I have checked the wiring 10 times i checked for 3 hours to make sure and i had to other people check to make sure the wiring but ill check again to make sure. would the maf sitting for a long time/vibrations make it go bad?

I am getting code 12 and 13 so yeah its the maf.

Steve thanks alot for your help you :rocks: thanks so much.

Ill check in the morning to make sure the wires are correct again, dont want to blow another one up.

They have worked 12+ years in a 2G so I doubt sitting for a long time or normal vibrations will make it go bad.

I hate to seem like a broken record but what I see the most is people get confused as to which pin is #1 when wiring them up and reverse the +12v and ground wires that are right next to each other. That blows up the MAF.
