My shifter is quite annoying. I know it is after market not sure what brand I wasn't the one who put it in. When in (any) gear you can wiggle the knob around a lot!. When going from the right side or to the right side at times (5th & Reverse) I have to pull on the shifter really hard and it often jerks the whole center console. If you guys thinks its a short shifter are there any other brands out there beside B&M that are good as well because they are very pricey. Thanks a lot.

Fidanza makes very good short throw shifters. I know there are a few positive reviews in the write up section of the forums.

have you checked all the bushings on your cable ends and the shifter base? did you make sure the shifter was installed properly by the previous owner?

No I haven't but the previous owner would tighten a bolt down atleast every 3 months that tightens and loosens the shifter. And for some reason I think its that bolt thats making it do that because when I had got the car he tightened it up for my but after driving the car for as long as I have it has loosened up again.
