Cheap or Free Transmission Mods?

Are there any cheap or free tranny mods I can do before I bolt the new transmission up? I've been looking at LSD's n shit but I dont want to even attempt it. Anything?

Not sure if you actually have a new trans or a "new" used one but if its used you should check this. http://www.geocities.com/qwik93awd/Vfaq/shifter.htm.

You can also do the mofugus short shifter mod. I don't have any personal experience with it but the theory seems legit.

The bushings on the transmission stiffened up the shifter feel a lot. I like it. There was a dude on here that sold them to me for $6.50 shipped. Mach V is always expensive.

if your talking about the skateboard bearings, just use skateboard bearings. go to big 5 or something and get some, obviously machv is expensive, but they have a good write up...

Wait, Skateboard Bearings? I just happen to have a set of Bones Swiss Bearings laying around, and now I"m wondering.... Do you really need two bearings to be welded together like they did in the pics? Because it looks like the stock bushing isn't that tall.

The ones I used are only as wide as the cable is. They fit really tight, so I don't see them coming off randomly.

I squeezed in skateboard bearings in my cables, just one, not 2 welded together. My friends now call me Mario Andretti.
